PasteDL

PasteDL vs SnapTik

A sitemap-verified comparison of PasteDL and SnapTik: SnapTik goes deeper on TikTok formats and adds Douyin, PasteDL covers Instagram. Which to pick, honestly.

Last updated:

SnapTik is a TikTok specialist. Its public sitemap lists nine URLs, and every tool among them is a TikTok format: the video downloader, a TikTok stories page, a slideshow downloader, a TikTok Notes downloader, and a separate downloader for Douyin — the Chinese app TikTok was built from. Its homepage declares 23 language versions plus x-default in its hreflang tags.

PasteDL is shaped the other way round. Instagram is where its depth is — seven tool pages covering video, reels, stories, an anonymous story viewer, photos, highlights, profile pictures and profile viewing — with TikTok covered by two pages rather than five. So this comparison is not about which downloads TikTok videos, because both do. It is about which platform you are actually here for.

Where SnapTik is stronger

It covers more TikTok formats than we do

TikTok is more than videos now, and SnapTik has kept up with that better than PasteDL has. It publishes separate pages for TikTok stories, for slideshow and photo posts, and for TikTok Notes. PasteDL covers TikTok videos and profile pictures and stops there, so three of those formats are simply outside what we offer.

It downloads Douyin

Douyin is the Chinese app TikTok grew out of, and it is a genuinely separate service with its own links. SnapTik publishes a dedicated downloader for it. PasteDL does not touch Douyin at all, so if that is what you have a link to, this comparison ends here.

Slightly wider language coverage

SnapTik's homepage declares 23 language versions to PasteDL's 21, and the two lists are not identical — it reaches Vietnamese, Czech, Greek, Dutch, Malay and Javanese, which PasteDL does not. If yours is on that list and not on ours, that is a real difference rather than a rounding error.

Where PasteDL is stronger

Instagram is covered, and on SnapTik it is not covered at all

SnapTik publishes no Instagram page in its sitemap. PasteDL publishes seven, one per format, so an Instagram reel, story, carousel, highlight or profile picture each has a tool built for it. If your links come from Instagram, this is the whole difference.

An anonymous story viewer as its own tool

PasteDL runs a separate page for viewing public Instagram stories without logging in, distinct from the page for saving them, because watching and keeping are different jobs. SnapTik has no Instagram equivalent.

TikTok profile pictures at full size

PasteDL publishes a dedicated page for pulling a public TikTok avatar at its full stored size rather than the small circle the app renders. SnapTik lists no such page in its sitemap.

Which one should you use?

Pick SnapTik if your links are TikTok or Douyin and you need the formats beyond plain video — stories, slideshows or Notes. It is deeper than PasteDL on exactly that ground, and pretending otherwise would not help you.

Pick PasteDL if Instagram is part of what you save, or if you want TikTok profile pictures at full size. Both are free, browser-based and need no login.

How we checked

Every row above describes what each site publishes a page for, read from snaptik.app's own public sitemap and page titles on 2026-08-21. That is a deliberate limit: a tool can support a format without publishing a page for it, so "no such page in its sitemap" is what we can verify and is all we claim. We do not test each other's download output, and we do not describe a competitor's file quality. SnapTik may add pages after this date — if you spot a row that has gone stale, email support@pastedl.com and we will re-check it.
