How are carousels and single photos handled?
When we tested hundreds of public posts, carousels were the part people missed most. Instagram keeps a multi-image post as separate images, not as one big file.

How do I download all photos from an Instagram carousel?

Can I download an Instagram photo in original resolution as the original JPG?
You get the JPG that Instagram serves for the post. Instagram resizes and compresses uploads, so that file can be smaller than the photo the creator took. For example, a portrait photo file may be 1080x1350, but the size varies by post. PasteDL does not crop or upscale the image, and it never adds a watermark.
What are the limits of the photo downloader?
Private photos are not supported. PasteDL works only with public posts and does not get around private accounts, Close Friends, deleted or archived posts, or age and region limits. Image size follows what Instagram serves. PasteDL keeps limited technical logs for security and operations. Before you repost, edit or reuse a photo, make sure you own it or have permission, and follow Instagram's rules and local law. PasteDL is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. How do I download Instagram photos on iPhone or Android?
No app needed. In Instagram, tap Share on the post, then Copy link. Open this page in your phone's browser, paste the link and tap Download. On Android each JPG usually goes to Downloads and may show up in your gallery, depending on your settings. On iPhone, tap and hold the image and choose Save to Photos, or find it in the Files app. For carousels, every slide is listed so you can save each one.
How do I download Instagram photos on a PC or Mac?
Open the post on instagram.com and copy the address from the address bar. Paste it here and click Download on each image. The JPG files go to your Downloads folder. It works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and there is nothing to install.
Does Instagram notify someone when I save their photo?
PasteDL does not use your Instagram account, so saving a photo here does not happen from your profile. PasteDL cannot promise what Instagram records on its side. Either way, a saved photo still belongs to the person who posted it, so ask before you share or reuse it.

Before you paste a link, here is where PasteDL stands on copyright, account risk and installation.
Am I allowed to download this Instagram content?
Only if you own it, the creator has said yes, or you have another lawful basis to save it. Being public does not cancel copyright: a post you can see is still the creator's work, and a saved copy does not let you repost, edit, sell or claim it. Instagram's terms and your local law add their own conditions, which vary by country and by what you plan to do. Ask before you use it, and read this as general information, not legal advice.
Can PasteDL put my Instagram account at risk?
PasteDL never asks for your Instagram login, password or cookies, so nothing it does runs through your account. That lowers the risk but does not remove it: Instagram sets and enforces its own rules, decides what it logs and who it notifies, and can change any of that without notice. Stay within Instagram's current terms, keep your use manual rather than automated, and save only what you own or have permission to keep.
Do I need to install anything, and where does my link go?
There is nothing to install: no app, no browser extension, no APK and no download manager. The public link you paste goes to PasteDL's media backend, and the CDN that delivers the file can hold a short-lived cache of it. Limited technical logs are kept for security, abuse prevention, debugging and operations. Advertising and consent tools run on the site under the terms in the Privacy Policy. Any old removal guide for a similarly named adware program is about a different product.
Downloading a file gives you a copy, not the rights to it. The creator keeps ownership, so treat what you save as personal-use only unless they have agreed to more.
