A sitemap-verified comparison of PasteDL and FastVideoSave: audio and Facebook support versus highlights, profile pictures and TikTok. Where each one wins.
Last updated:
FastVideoSave takes the opposite approach to most sites in this category. Its public sitemap lists ten URLs total - seven tool pages and three legal pages - in English only, with no translated versions at all. PasteDL runs ten tool pages across 21 languages.
That difference in shape matters less than what each one covers. FastVideoSave reaches outside Instagram in a direction PasteDL does not, and PasteDL covers Instagram formats FastVideoSave has no page for. Here is the split, taken from each site’s own sitemap.
| Tool | PasteDL | FastVideoSave |
|---|---|---|
| Video downloader | Yes | Yes |
| Reels downloader | Yes | Yes |
| Photo downloader | Yes | Yes |
| Stories downloader | Yes | Yes |
| Audio / MP3 extraction | No | Yesdedicated page |
| Facebook downloader | NoInstagram and TikTok only | Yes |
| Story highlights | Yesdedicated page | Nono such page in its sitemap |
| Available public profile picture (DP) | Yesdedicated page; exact size depends on Instagram | Partlycombined with its profile page |
| Public profile viewer | Yes | Partlycombined with profile pictures |
| TikTok downloader | Yesvideo and profile picture | No |
| Interface languages | Yes21 | NoEnglish only |
FastVideoSave publishes a dedicated page for pulling the audio track out of a reel and saving it as MP3. PasteDL has no equivalent - our tools save an available video rendition, with audio when it is present in that rendition, but do not produce an audio-only file. If the sound is the thing you want, FastVideoSave covers a case we do not.
FastVideoSave publishes a Facebook downloader. PasteDL covers Instagram and TikTok and stops there, so a Facebook link is outside what we do.
Ten URLs in one language is a genuinely simple site. There is no language switcher to get lost in and no chance of landing on a translated page you cannot read - a fair trade if English is your language and you just want the tool.
FastVideoSave publishes no highlights page. PasteDL does, listing each item inside a highlight separately so you can pick individual clips rather than taking the whole set.
FastVideoSave combines profile pictures and profile viewing on one page. PasteDL splits them because they are different jobs: one returns an available public, uncropped avatar rendition whose exact dimensions depend on Instagram; the other shows the wider public snapshot-bio, counters and recent posts.
PasteDL covers TikTok videos and profile pictures. FastVideoSave reaches toward Facebook instead, so which one suits you depends entirely on which second platform you actually use.
FastVideoSave is English-only. If you would rather not work in English, PasteDL ships fully translated tool pages - including right-to-left support for Arabic - rather than a machine-translated wrapper around an English interface.
Pick FastVideoSave if you want reel audio as an MP3, if you need Facebook downloads, or if you simply prefer a small English-only site with nothing else on it.
Pick PasteDL if you need story highlights, separate profile-picture and profile-viewer tools, TikTok support, or an interface in a language other than English. Both are free and neither requires an Instagram login.
Every row above describes what each site publishes a page for, read from fastvideosave.net's own public sitemap and page titles on 2026-08-17. That is a deliberate limit: a tool can support a format without publishing a page for it, so "no such page in its sitemap" is what we can verify and is all we claim. We do not test each other's download output, and we do not describe a competitor's file quality. FastVideoSave may add pages after this date - if you spot a row that has gone stale, email support@pastedl.com and we will re-check it.
